Chef Gabriel DeLeon
Chef Gabriel DeLeon's earliest culinary inspiration came from his chef and restauranteur father, Juan DeLeon. Eventually, Gabriel inherited his father's restaurant, La Margarita in Irving, then successfully ran it for two decades.
Chef Cabriel's other strong influence came from world-reknowned chef, Patricia Quintana, under whom he studied in Mexico City. While Chef Quintana remains true to the origins of Mexican cooking, her refined boldness creates new Spanish-influenced fusion cuisine that you'll recognize in Chef Gabriel's later style.
Gabriel DeLeon, Managing Partner
Chef Gabriel DeLeon is both Executive Chef and Managing Partner of Mi Dia From Scratch with locations in Plano, Grapevine and Flower Mound, Texas.
Chef Gabriel partnered with "serial restaurateur", Steve Hartnett to create a new kind of Mexican restaurant where everything is made from scratch. They designed an upscale, contemporary dining room with Mexican cuisine, Tex-Mex, and Santa Fe-inspired dishes on the menu. They threw in a glitzy bar as well as a family-friendly outdoor patio and Mi Dia From Scratch was born.
